How we Fund

JLCT is a proactive funder. We find partners through active research, collaboration and networks, rather than open applications, and make multi-year grants to a select number of organisations.

To reach local groups, we often collaborate with other funders. Our partners include local Community Foundations across the UK. We also provide Making a Difference and Staff Matching schemes, supporting charities nominated by former and current employees of the John Laing Group.

Our approach is rooted in working with partners that reflect Sir John Laing's values, the Trust's aims and priorities, and a commitment to equity, inclusion, and environmental responsibility.
